Replacement Cards: Lost library cards incur a $4 fee.
Suspension of Borrowing Prilieges: Occurs for $15 in fines and/or fees system-wide (including the Bridgeton, Millville, and Vineland public libraries).
Non-Residents: Library cards are available for non-Cumberland County residents at a yearly fee of $50 per family. This card is honored at all Cumberland County libraries.
Renewals: On books borrowed from the Cumberland County Library collection, one (1) renewal is permitted. No renewals are allowed on materials borrowed on your behalf by Cumberland County Library from other libraries (often referred to as "inter-library loan").
Limits: Adults and seniors are permitted a maximum of 30 items on loan at any one time per card (including audio/visual materials (tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc.). Juveniles (under age 18) are also allowed a maximum of 30 items. All card holders are limited to 3 books on an individual subject.
Video loan limits: Entertainment Collection Video and Instruction Collection Video are both limited to 6 titles at a time. Library users must be 18 years of age or older to check out video titles.
Holidays or Closed Days: No items are due on recognized holidays or days the library is closed. Fines are not calculated on those days, either.
Seniors: Fines apply to seniors as well as all other library users.
Lost or Damaged Materials: Materials requiring replacement incur the cost of the material itself plus a $5 processing fee.
Deposit Collection: Certain materials (like many test preparation books, for example) require a $20 deposit upon checkout. This fee is refunded on the return of the materials.
Overdue of Delinquency Notices: $.45 each mailing charge.
Audio / Visual Materials: The library kindly requests that users not use the bookdrop for returning audio/visual materials.
